【IELTS for UKVI】Introduction of Video-Call Speaking Test

Dear Candidates of IELTS for UKVI

We would like to inform you about a change which will be implemented for the speaking test.

Eiken has been conducting in-person face-to-face speaking test with an examiner on site.

However, due to changes on the IELTS global regulations, the speaking test for UKVI sessions will be changed to "video call " format.

The test will be conducted via video call at the test centre. The content, scoring, timing, and question format will be exactly the same as the in-person speaking test allowing real-life, real-time two-way interaction with the Speaking test examiner.

No special PC operations are required to take the speaking test.

This change will be implemented from 2024 Tuesday 17 December's test session
